STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- Running back Saquon Barkley left Saturday's game late in the 3rd quarter and later went to the locker room with his right foot wrapped, leaving his availability for this week's Big Ten title game in question.

While James Franklin typically keeps injury information close to the vest, the Lions' head coach said he was in contact with Barkley Saturday night and again Sunday morning and expects the standout sophomore to be available against Wisconsin.

"We're confident he's playing, but for me to tell you how he's looking I don't know," Franklin said Sunday afternoon on the Big Ten coaches teleconference. "We haven't even had our team meeting, haven't even had our staff meeting to go over personnel with the trainers. We just got done breaking down the film and we have recruits on campus. I communicated with Saquon last night and communicated with Saquon this morning. We're anticipating, we're expecting him [to be] ready to play."
