Sidney Crosby came agonizingly close to finally reaching his 1,000th career point.

He can focus on that moving forward without having the burden of trying to carry the Penguins' offense anymore. He's got plenty of help in the form of his fellow superstar.

Evgeni Malkin returned from a three-week layoff by scoring, setting up Phil Kessel for a beauty and guiding the Penguins to a comfortable 4-0 victory against the Canucks on Tuesday night at PPG Paints Arena.
