First-half surge fuels Colonials to 74-64 win

Robert Morris used a big run to close out the first half and overpower Central Connecticut State en route to a much-needed 74-64 win inside Detrick Gymnasium, New Britain, Conn. Saturday.

With the score deadlocked at 15 with 9:28 left in the first half, the Colonials outscored the Blue Devils, 21-6, to take a commanding 36-21 lead into the halftime locker room. Central Connecticut State pulled within six early in the second half, but Isaiah Still drained a 3 with 13:02 left to push the lead back to double digits, and a Kavon Stewart layup increased the lead to 14 with 10:08 left.
