All Jonathan Isaac could do was watch from the post as the basketball flicked off Sheldon Jeter’s fingertips from the left corner and sailed through the rim.

That 3-pointer, in the second half, gave Pitt a seven-point lead over No. 17 Florida State even as it reclaimed the momentum that was slipping from its grasp. Jeter screamed in celebration. The Oakland Zoo’s cheers filled the Petersen Events Center. And Isaac, the Seminoles' 6-foot-10 projected NBA Draft lottery pick and the leader of the nation's tallest roster, couldn't have looked smaller.

That pivotal moment, Jeter's career-high 29 points and a more responsible overall offense led the Panthers to the latest of a succession of uplifting performances, an 80-66 victory Saturday afternoon.
