Report: Frozen Four coming to Pittsburgh in 2022

College hockey's biggest stage, the Frozen Four, will set up shop in Pittsburgh in 2022, John Connolly of the Boston Herald reported Thursday night. Connolly said the NCAA's season-ending championship tournament will make stops in Detroit (2019), Buffalo (2020) and Boston (2021) before coming to PPG Paints Arena.



The tournament has been around since 1971 for Division I and Division III schools but has only been in Pittsburgh one other time, in 2013.
