The Pirates struck out 17 times against the Dodgers in their 12-1 loss last night, which ties a Pirates record by the way, and it wasn't the worst performance by a Pittsburgh team on May 8.
The Penguins, of course, are the other team I'm referring to after the Game 6, 5-2 loss Monday night. I'm not even sure 5-2 is a fair score to reference since the Penguins' two goals came in the form of participation trophies after going down 5-0 in the third, but that was indeed the final.
So, later today, Josh Yohe, Matt Gajtka and I will head back to Washington for a Game 7 which once felt improbable, but never impossible.
