Sunday’s Best: A catfish-free path to Game 3

The flight of the catfish at PPG Paints Arena came close to saving Game 1, but no bottom-feeder showed up for Game 2 to slow the Penguins from prevailing over the Predators, 4-1.

It was an odd game, even without the flying fish, that featured a goal and a fight from Evgeni Malkin. After the game, I'd find out that Malkin was the first player in eight years to score a goal and receive a fighting major in a Stanley Cup Final game.

The last player?


Beyond that fight, which was more of a cuddle bout, the free-swinging sticks made the game look more like a lacrosse match. Not the cleanest game, but another 'ugly' win for the home team, and a 2-0 lead for the Penguins headed to Nashville.
