Brief and to the Point ...
• Sidney Crosby hops over the boards. It's a Tuesday night in November. The Penguins are in Columbus. Brandon Dubinsky's taken two shifts, yapping the whole way through both. Sometimes at the captain. Sometimes at the entire bench. But as Crosby collects the puck in the defensive zone, raises his chin and revs up the wheels, he does so with confidence that Dubinsky's noise won't amount to anything more.
He feels that way partly because Ryan Reaves is on his bench, partly because Dubinsky's known to go all puppy dog when sharing the rink with someone who can break him in half.
But he does feel that. That's his confidence. Crosby's confidence.
Not mine. Not yours. Not even necessarily based in reality.
