LATROBE, Pa. — A black 1931 Rolls-Royce Phantom I convertible rolled slowly past the large group of reporters in front of Rooney Hall on the campus of Saint Vincent College.

Sitting behind the wheel was Jon Leimkuehler, a man who never expected a phone call that would have him chauffeur Antonio Brown to his eighth training camp with the Steelers on Thursday afternoon.

For Leimkuehler, a resident of Upper St. Clair, and his five grandchildren, it was a whirlwind experience. For Brown, it was just another grand entrance to mark the beginning of what he hopes will be a "special" season for the Steelers.

"Every year we get a step closer," Brown said. "We have Martavis (Bryant) back. We have a lot of guys back in good shape. I think we have a great shot [to win the Super Bowl.] That’s why I’m here today, to join this group to try to win the Super Bowl. I think all the guys here today have that in the back of their mind."

The story surrounding the Steelers prior to training camp a year ago was whether or not Brown would receive a contract extension. That happened in February after he made his fifth Pro Bowl in 2016, catching 106 passes for 1,284 yards.

But another star on the Steelers' offense has yet to receive a new contract and his status is unknown for the start of training camp. Le'Veon Bell had yet to sign his franchise tag tender after reportedly turning down an offer from the Steelers.
