SAN DIEGO -- Josh Harrison hurt his left ankle Sunday in the Pirates' 7-1 victory over the Padres at Petco Park, but it didn't appear too serious.

He was trying to leg out an infield hit in the third inning and, seeing that shortstop Dusty Coleman's throw was sailing high, he made a desperate late lunge for first base. In doing so, he landed awkwardly on the bag and immediately came up lame. Initially, he stayed in the game, but within a minute took himself out and was replaced by pinch-runner Max Moroff:

The team described the injury as "left lower leg discomfort," and Harrison flat-out dismissed it.

"I'm fine," he said. "Really."
