UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- When there's a prospect playing his high school ball right in Penn State's backyard, the Nittany Lions usually have a leg up in trying to land the commitment.
Such was the case with 2019 three-star prospect Keaton Ellis, the State College High School standout who committed to Penn State Saturday night following the Lions' 33-14 victory against Pitt. Ellis, who camped at Penn State this past summer, is ranked as the No. 36 cornerback in the 2019 class per the 247Sports composite and also plays receiver. He is the first verbal pledge in the Lions' 2019 class.
