The Pirates will open the 2018 season on March 29 in Detroit, according to the full schedule released Tuesday by Major League Baseball.

Every team will begin play March 29, a Thursday, marking the first time since 1968 each team started on the same day. That three-game series for the Pirates will be followed by their home opener April 2, a Monday, against the Twins at PNC Park. First pitch is 1:05 p.m.

With interleague opponents rotating every season, the Pirates will face the American League's Central Division, which will have them travel to Cleveland to face the Indians at Progressive Field for a three-game series from July 23-25.

The Pirates will play the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on the Fourth of July and have a 10-game home stand before the All-Star break, beginning with a three-game series against the Phillies and ending with a four-game set against the Brewers.

They'll finish the season with a seven-game road trip, including four games at Wrigley Field, three games in Cincinnati.
