CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Zach Aston-Reese captured attention earlier this month when he dropped the gloves with New Jersey's Steven Santini at the Prospects Challenge in Buffalo, N.Y.

But the 2016-17 NCAA scoring leader, who signed a two-year entry level contract with the Penguins back in March, has had a quiet first five days of training camp. Aston-Reese went without a point in the camp championship, and he wasn't about to duke it out with teammates to make it onto the scoresheet.
