UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- DaeSean Hamilton waved toward the Beaver Stadium bleachers as the Lions celebrated their victory, looking for his mom, dad and about a dozen other family members and friends who were there to watch him.
"I got like 10 friends that came up for this game too," Hamilton said. "I was waving to my whole party that came to the game."
Minutes later James Franklin pulled the fifth-year senior back out into the tunnel on his way to the locker room so the fans in the concourse could give Hamilton one more round of applause. Hamilton's nine catches for 122 yards and three touchdowns against Indiana cemented him in Penn State's record books as the program's receptions leader with 181. He surpassed Allen Robinson (177) and Deon Butler (179) to land atop the record book, a list of names Hamilton said he became increasingly familiar with as he closed in on the record.
But even Hamilton wasn't so sure in this offense that spreads the ball around so much that the record would be broken in such grand fashion Saturday afternoon.
