Barkley on bowl game: 'That's not even something I'm going to talk about' taken in University Park, Pa. (Saquon Barkley)

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- It'd be understandable if Saquon Barkley's frustrations mounted at this point in the season, especially after five carries that netted a loss of three yards in the first half against Rutgers. For the first three-game stretch in his career Barkley hasn't rushed for 65 yards in any game.

"You come into the season and you have goals and you visualize what you want to do, and I visualized going undefeated, I visualized everything," Barkley said. "Like I said, you only can control what you can control. We're 8-2 right now. We hold ourselves to such a high standard that everyone thinks it's a bad season, a bad year, but there are teams, multiple teams begging, wishing and dreaming to be in the position we're in."

A pair of third-quarter scores helped Barkley and the No. 14 Nittany Lions break through while the inconsistencies with the run game continued. Still, Barkley, who finished with 14 carries for 35 yards, said he's OK pass blocking and with the strides he's made there.

With two games left in the regular season, including the Lions' last home game next week, Barkley was asked about his future and whether or not he plans to play in whatever bowl game the Lions end up in. That part he said he was not going to think about.
