Andrew McCutchen announced on Wednesday that his wife Maria gave birth to their son this week.
His name?
Steel Stefan McCutchen.
"I am so thankful for a healthy baby and wife," McCutchen said on Instagram. "Watching my wife go through this journey has made me appreciate, respect and love her even more than I already do. She literally is Superwoman in my eyes. Now, here lays my son. Seeing you for the first time is something I cannot put into words. I am already a proud daddy! Thank you God for giving me the gift of a baby boy! Okay I gotta go and stare at him some more."
McCutchen said that Steel was born on Nov. 27 at 3:21 a.m., and weighed 8 pounds, 15 ounces.
Andrew and Maria revealed that they were expecting in June with this video. Steel arrived a few days earlier than his due date of Dec. 2:
