RICHMOND, Va. — For all the attention the Ron Francis trade gets — and rightfully so — the Penguins acquiring Larry Murphy was arguably as important to the Cup runs of the early '90s. It’s not every day you acquire a Hall-of-Famer, and Murphy was no short-term rental.
It speaks to the deep roster of Penguins legends that such a trade is nearly overlooked.
