The Steelers didn't get the trip to the Super Bowl or the AFC Championship that they wanted.
But the coaching staff was told by the NFL on Monday that it will be working the Pro Bowl this season. New Orleans' staff will coach the Pro Bowl for the NFC. The game will be held in Orlando Jan. 28.
The Steelers lost 45-42 to the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday in an AFC Divisional Round playoff game.
Pittsburgh had a league-best eight players selected to the Pro Bowl this season: quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le'Veon Bell, wide receiver Antonio Brown, offensive linemen David DeCastro, Maurkice Pouncey and Alejandro Villanueva, injured linebacker Ryan Shazier and placekicker Chris Boswell.
Roethlisberger, Brown and Bell are not expected to play in the game, but DeCastro said Monday he intends on playing. Boswell also is expected to play.
