Patric Hornqvist sustained a lower-body injury Friday night in the Penguins' 7-4 win over the Capitals, and he won't make the trip to New Jersey for their game Saturday night with the Devils, according to Mike Sullivan.
Hornqvist was injured early in the third period Friday when he took a hard but clean open-ice hit from Brooks Orpik as he entered the offensive zone:

Evgeni Malkin took a slash at Orpik, the former Penguin, in response but nothing came of it. Hornqvist struggled to get down the runway and did not return.
Sullivan said he'll give an update on Hornqvist's condition Saturday in Newark.
Hornqvist scored a power play goal in the second period, his 16th of the season. He is an unrestricted free agent at season's end and is the Penguins top priority to re-sign.
The Penguins did not make any roster moves as of late Friday night, though they will likely have to unless they play with 11 forwards Saturday in New Jersey.
Earlier Friday, Jean-Sebastien Dea was reassigned to Wilkes-Barre with Carter Rowney returning to the lineup from injury. Dea would seem a possibility to be recalled as would Daniel Sprong.
