DETROIT — The Pirates' first series of the season took another unexpected turn. The second game of the three-game series against the Tigers on Saturday has been postponed because of expected inclement weather.
The two teams will play a split doubleheader on Sunday, with the first game at 1:10 p.m. and the second at 6:10 p.m. Trevor Williams will take the mound in the matinee with Chad Kuhl making his scheduled start in the evening. Then, the team will hurry back to Pittsburgh for Monday's home opener at PNC Park.
Welp. Not playing today due to impending weather.

A raindrop had yet to fall when the decision was announced; however, the forecast called for rain showers throughout the afternoon and evening. Opening day was postponed on Thursday for the same reason, and it was followed by a 13-inning, five-hour and 27-minute game Friday.
Neither Clint Hurdle nor players were made available to the media after the decision was announced. Jameson Taillon will make his scheduled start Monday against the Twins with first pitch at 1:10 p.m.
