UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State kicked off Blue-White weekend with a big boost on the recruiting trail. The Nittany Lions' spring game historically is good for at least a pledge or two throughout the weekend and that proved true again Saturday.

Caedan Wallace, a four-star offensive lineman from New Jersey's Hun School, gave the Nittany Lions his verbal pledge ahead of the spring game, bringing the class of 2019 up to three verbal pledges. Wallace's father confirmed the commitment via Twitter.

This commitment ends a stretch where Penn State didn't land a verbal pledge in this class since quarterback Ta'Quan Roberson on Oct. 26.

Wallace was visiting Penn State on Saturday and has been here multiple times in the past. He was high school teammates with Penn State defensive tackle Fred Hansard.

Wallace is ranked as the fourth-best guard in the 2019 class and is the second-best player in the New Jersey in the class, per 247Sports. The only prospect ranked behind Wallace in the Garden state is defensive lineman Antonio Alfano, who was also in Happy Valley Saturday for a visit.

Wallace joins a 2019 class that includes State College High School defensive back Keaton Ellis and Roberson.
