The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled 13 players from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton following the conclusion of Wilkes-Barre's season.

Forwards: Josh Jooris, Daniel Sprong, Thomas Di Pauli, Adam Johnson, Teddy Blueger, Garrett Wilson and Jean-Sebastien Dea

Defensemen: Lukas Bengtsson, Chris Summers, Jarred Tinordi and Andrey Pedan

Goaltenders: Tristan Jarry and Michael Leighton

Di Pauli was injured in the regular season and did not play in Wilkes-Barre's playoffs. Tinordi was injured in Game 2, and did not finish the game or play in Game 3.

The players who are healthy will practice in Pittsburgh and be available if any injuries occur.

Even for the young players that don't get to play, being around the big club for this playoff run can be great for their development, and it can be a good learning experience. Goaltender Sean Maguire told me about his experience with the 2017 Stanley Cup run before being traded this season.

"It was definitely an incredible experience, a cherishable moment," Maguire said. "Not many guys can say that they witnessed what happened, you know? For me to be behind the scenes, interacting and practicing with the players, traveling, it was definitely a really good experience.

"It was really good for my career, I think, seeing those guys, how they carry themselves in those situations where you're playing for a Stanley Cup," he continued. "How do those guys continue to win? What are they doing that I need to start doing? It was really good for me as a young player to witness that and just be a part of it. Definitely something I want to keep forever. Even though I wasn't on the ice playing or performing, still, just being in the presence of that environment was very enlightening for me."
