The Steelers signed 13 rookie free agents immediately following the completion of the 2018 NFL Draft, including defensive tackle Parker Cothren from Penn State and receiver/return specialist Quadree Henderson of Pitt.

The moves came after the team selected seven players in the draft:

Cothren, 6-5, 295, started all 13 games for the Nittany Lions in 2017, earning honorable-mention all-Big Ten honors when he had 27 tackles and and 1.5 sacks.

Henderson, 5-9, 190, had 897 career rushing yards and 45 receptions for 473 yards. He made an even bigger impact as a return man, averaging 26.6 yards per kick return and 13.4 on punts while scoring seven career touchdowns.

Also signed were Jarvion Franklin, RB, Western Michigan; Greg Gilmore, DE, LSU; Trey Johnson, CB, Villanova; Pharoah McKever, TE, North Carolina State; Patrick Morris, C, TCU; Ikenna Nwokeji, OL, Elon; Olasunkanmi Adeniyi, LB, Toledo; Chris Schleuger, G, UAB; Jamar Summers, CB, Connecticut; Matthew Thomas, LB, Florida State and Kendall Vickers, DE, Tennessee.
