Jaromir Jagr will return to Czech team Rytíři Kladno for the 2018-19 season, the team announced on Tuesday. It will be his 30th season of professional hockey.

The Calgary Flames waived Jagr in January so he could return to his native Czech Republic and join Rytíři Kladno, where he is part-owner and team president. Jagr began his professional career in Kladno in the 1988-89 season.

Jagr missed time with a concussion and knee injury since returning to Kladno, and only played in five regular season games, during which he recorded four assists. He was scoreless in 10 playoff games as Kladno attempted to return to the top Czech league, after being relegated to Czech hockey’s second division four years ago.

"We will try to be even better in the coming season and go to the extra league, and we will do our best," Jagr said after Kladno's elimination last season.

Jagr will be 47 years old by the end of the 2018-19 season.
