The Pirates added 29 prospects to the organization during the third and final day of the Major League Baseball Draft.
In rounds 11 through 40, the Pirates doubled down on pitching, selecting 11 pitchers, including six straight right-handers in rounds 16 through 21. In all, the Pirates took 17 pitchers, six of them with their first nine picks.
