With the Stanley Cup playoffs decided, the final draft order is officially set for next weekend's NHL Draft at American Airlines Center in Dallas.
As expected, the Penguins will have six picks in total, including the 53rd overall selection in the second round.
They also hold Ottawa's pick in the third round (64th overall), acquired in the Feb. 23 for trade Derick Brassard. They have two picks in the fifth round, Nos. 129 and 146, the former acquired from Detroit in the Oct. 21 trade for Riley Sheahan. The Penguins also have a pick in the sixth (177th overall) and in the seventh (208th overall) rounds.
The first round will be held Friday night in Dallas, beginning at 7:30 p.m. (ET). It will be televised on NBC Sports Network. Barring a trade, this will be the fourth straight year that the Penguins won't have a first-round pick. Buffalo is expected to select Swedish defenseman Rasmus Dahlin with the No. 1 overall pick.
Rounds 2-7 will be held Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m. The final six rounds will be televised by NHL Network.
