Tobias Lindberg, acquired by the Penguins from the Golden Knights as part of the three-team Derick Brassard trade in February, was re-signed Tuesday to a one-year contract.

The two-way deal will pay Lindberg $650,000 should he play in the NHL. The 22-year-old Swede played last season for the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, recording 10 goals and 13 assists in 64 games.

A 6-foot-3, 215-pound forward, Lindberg had been Ottawa's fourth-round pick (102nd overall) in 2013 and has since bounced around the AHL with the Ottawa, Toronto and Vegas organizations. In 164 career AHL games, he has 73 points (27 goals, 46 assists). He played six NHL games for the Maple Leafs in 2015-16, registering two assists and four penalty minutes.
