As part of the opening weekend festivities of training camp at Saint Vincent College next month, the Steelers will announce their second Hall of Honor Class.
This year's class will be announced at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 28, following the Steelers Charity Walk at Saint Vincent College.
Team president Art Rooney II, former team executives Joe Gordon and Tony Quatrini, Bob Labriola of Steelers.com and Stan Savran and Andrew Stockey are in the process of finalizing this year’s induction class. The Steelers inducted 27 members last year in their inaugural class, honoring all of their Pro Football Hall of Fame members along with longtime players Donnie Shell, L.C. Greenwood, Dick Hoak and and Andy Russell.
Each inductee receives a solid steel football, a replica of the one given to Steelers founder Arthur J. Rooney Sr. by the United States Steel Corporation and United Steel Workers in 1982 on the occasion of the team’s 50th season.
