LATROBE, Pa. -- Remember how the Steelers were going to avoid off-field controversies and social media drama this season?
Guess that didn't take long, did it?
The Steelers and Antonio Brown are at the center of controversy again after the star receiver made a disparaging remark on Twitter toward the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's longtime Steelers beat writer, Ed Bouchette.
Bouchette had tweeted during Monday's practice that Brown, who had been bothered by a recent quadriceps injury, limped off the field. Brown was apparently not injured and took umbrage with the report, exchanging a few words with Bouchette as he walked off the field.

When pressed on the matter Tuesday, Mike Tomlin mostly declined to address it. He said it would be handled internally, if at all. But from the sound of it, don't expect the Steelers to suspend Brown as the Jaguars did with star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who hurled profanities toward the media for filming a fight between teammates.
"I will address it privately," Tomlin said. "I won't address it in this setting. I don't believe that's appropriate, but I don't have a lot of details regarding it. I'm just not going to talk about whatever it is you're referring to in this setting. I'll address it at a later time after I get an opportunity to gather information if necessary, but I won't address it in this setting because you're my only source. So that's not appropriate from my perspective, respectfully."
Brown is no stranger to social media controversy. Following the Steelers' 2017 playoff win at Kansas City, Brown posted a Facebook Live video from the team's locker room.
