Antonio Brown responded Monday morning to Twitter criticism from a former Steelers employee with a tweet of his own that included the phrase 'trade me,' though the context was open to interpretation.
Ryan Scarpino, part of the team's media relations staff until last year, tweeted of Brown's sideline tantrum Sunday at Heinz Field in the 42-37 loss to the Chiefs: "AB needs to thank his lucky stars, because he was drafted by a team that had Ben. And Ben got AB paid. You know darn well he wouldn’t put up those numbers for other teams."
Ben, of course, is Ben Roethlisberger.
To which Brown replied as follows:
Trade me let’s find out https://t.co/4OeepI78zy

Brown hurried out of the locker room after the game Sunday, leaving just as reporters were entering. It's safe to assume, though, given that he was barking at new offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner on the sideline, that he was displeased with how often Roethlisberger was throwing his way. Roethlisberger has targeted Brown 33 times through two games, including 17 Sunday. He had nine catches but for only 67 yards. JuJu Smith-Schuster had 19 targets, 13 catches for 121 yards and a touchdown.
Dale Lolley has the Steelers' reaction.
