The Penguins' latest round of roster cuts reduced the roster to 27 players.
After Sunday's preseason loss to Detroit, the Penguins reassigned forwards Tobias Lindberg, Jimmy Hayes, Adam Johnson, Joseph Cramarossa, Thomas Di Pauli, Teddy Blueger, Sam Miletic, Sam Lafferty, Anthony Angello, Linus Olund, Garrett Wilson and Ryan Haggerty; defensemen Chris Summers, Stefan Elliott, Will O'Neill, Jeff Taylor and Ethan Prow; and goaltender John Muse to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Lindberg, Summers, Muse, Elliott, Hayes, Prow and Wilson require waivers, and can be reassigned to Wilkes-Barre if they clear waivers.
UPDATE Monday, 1 p.m.: Lindberg, Summers, Muse, Elliott, Hayes, and Wilson cleared waivers at noon. Prow wasn't placed on waivers until today, so won't be cleared until Tuesday at noon.
The contract of Freddie Tiffels was also officially terminated.
This round of cuts comes just before the start of Wilkes-Barre's training camp. On-ice sessions begin Monday at 10:30 a.m., at the Toyota Sportsplex. Wilkes-Barre's full practice schedule, all free and open to the public, is located here.
The updated roster -- comprised of 15 forwards, nine defenseman, and three goaltenders -- can be found here.
