Antonio Brown missed his second consecutive day of practice for the Steelers on Thursday, putting his status for Sunday's regular season finale against the Bengals in question.
Brown was listed as missing practice Wednesday as a coaching decision. Thursday, however, he was listed as being held out because of a knee issue.
Brown is coming off a game in which he caught 14 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns in last Sunday's 31-28 loss at New Orleans, arguably his best game of the season.
"Great. He did a nice job, a really good job," offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner said of Brown's game.
That lifted Brown to 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and a league-best 15 touchdown catches this season. Brown's 100-reception season was the sixth in a row for him, which is an NFL record.
Linebacker Vince Williams (toe) and safety Sean Davis (quad) also were held out of practice for the second consecutive day, while running back James Conner (ankle) made it through his second consecutive day of practice.
Conner is trying to return from an ankle injury that has cost him the past three games.
