Chris Boswell was placed on the NFL's Injured Reserve list this past Friday with what Mike Tomlin called "some discomfort."
On Monday, Boswell's brother Stephen, hoping to clear the air, said on Twitter that the Steelers' placekicker is dealing with a Grade 2 groin tear:
And Chris has a grade 2 tear in his groin, since nobody wanna report it.

A Grade 2 tear is characterized by pain, tenderness, weakness, and sometimes bruising of the area.
Boswell's brother added that the injury happened during warmups before the Dec. 23 game in New Orleans:
It just happened pre game at the saints, I’m just tired of seeing the false narratives about why they brought in mccrane

Boswell went 2-for-2 on extra points in New Orleans and 2-for-2 on field goals, including a 49-yard field goal.
