Just when it seemed the Antonio Brown fire died down a touch, the star receiver stoked the coals with authority.
Thursday morning, Brown sent the following tweet to his 1.3 million followers and beyond:
Open for business
— Antonio Brown (@AB84) January 24, 2019
Hey, maybe he's just opening a new line of mustache bleach and he's letting potential customers know it's showtime. Maybe he missed all the chatter yesterday from Maurkice Pouncey, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Alejandro Villanueva — his teammates who unanimously expressed hope Brown would return to the team in 2019.
Or maybe he just hasn't had his morning coffee yet. Who knows?
This past Saturday, Brown drummed up some similar attention with the following video:
One thing I understand about this fan base and that I'll never forget and always appreciate is your passion. Know that it's all love this way and I am forever thankful for #steelernation ! ?? (this is not a goodbye, just a thank u) pic.twitter.com/5mCg5pRjXL
— Antonio Brown (@AB84) January 20, 2019
Despite literally saying "this is not a goodbye" in the caption, many fans and media members were quick to pounce on it as a sign of imminent departure.
At any rate, when Brown gets his Twitter fingers warmed up, he usually doesn't stop right away. Stay tuned to see how this one plays out.
