RICHMOND, Va. -- From 1974 to 1989, the Penguins played 42 games at the old Spectrum in Philadelphia, and they didn’t win a single time, their success limited to a paltry three ties.

The 0-39-3 hex vs. the Flyers in the City of Brotherly Shove defied all odds and description, and was so strong that it took even the great Mario Lemieux half a decade to break it.

Naturally, when the streak finally did snap, it was No. 66 leading the way, notching an assist on each of the Penguins' five goals:
