JuJu: Steelers should keep Brown, Bell taken at Highmark Stadium (Steelers)

JuJu Smith-Schuster is not a fan of the drama surrounding the Steelers.

But he is a fan of his Steelers' teammates.

Speaking with Ian Rapaport during a recent episode of "Rapsheet and Friends," Smith-Schuster discussed his team's woes, offering his own thoughts and feelings on the situation.

"In my dream world, what would I have? I would have Le'Veon Bell as a running back with James Conner," Smith-Schuster said. "I would have [Antonio Brown] stay on the other side and, man, we're winning a Super Bowl with the guys that we have, the guys that we keep."

While Smith-Schuster acknowledges the hang-ups and road blocks in his dream scenario, he can't get past one fact in his mind: If the Steelers field a team with Ben Roethlisberger, Bell, Brown, Conner, himself and their star-studded offensive line, they're winning it all.

"For me, it's moreso like, man let's keep the guys on the team," Smith-Schuster said. "Let's win the Super Bowl. Let's stop all the (nonsense)."

Unfortunately for Smith-Schuster, it currently sounds unlikely either Bell or Brown will return to the Steelers for the 2019 NFL season — let alone both of them.

The Steelers franchise-tagged Bell for the second consecutive season last year, and Bell elected to sit out as a result. He did not play a snap in 2018, and Conner thrived in the starting role before going down with an injury in Week 13 against the Chargers.

Brown's drama, meanwhile, is well-documented. He wants traded, and all signs point to that becoming a reality before the 2019 NFL Draft.
