Manny Machado is officially off the table.
Tuesday, the Padres and Machado agreed to terms on a 10-year, $300 million contract, according to ESPN. That deal marks the largest free agent contract in American sports history.
Manny Machado's deal, as @Feinsand first reported, is for 10 years and $300 million with an opt-out after the fifth season.
A monumental deal -- the single biggest free agent contract in American sports history.
And now every eye in baseball turns to Bryce Harper. His move.

In 2018, Machado hit .297/.367/.538 with 35 home runs and 107 RBIs as a member of the Orioles and Dodgers.
With Machado locked up, pending completion of the deal, all eyes now turn to Bryce Harper.
The six-time All-Star and 2015 NL MVP remains on the market and will undoubtedly be looking to match — or surpass — Machado's deal.
In 2018, Harper hit .249/.393/.496 with 34 home runs and 100 RBIs in 159 games with the Nationals. Harper hit a career-best and NL-leading 42 home runs in 2015.
