Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas has been suspended for two games after high-sticking the Lightning’s Nikita Kucherov, the Department of Player Safety announced Wednesday afternoon.
This was Gudas' fifth suspension since December 2015. He was considered a repeat offender this time because his most recent suspension was under 18 months ago -- a 10-game suspension for a slash on Mathieu Perreault:
Gudas will miss the Flyers' game in Montreal on Thursday and the Stadium Series game against the Penguins on Saturday. He will be eligible to return Tuesday at home against the Sabres.
