Brown on Colbert: 'Things are not getting better' taken at Highmark Stadium (Steelers)

Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown – MATT SUNDAY / DKPS

Antonio Brown was not a fan of Kevin Colbert's recent comments.

The Steelers GM said Ben Roethlisberger had "52 kids under him," and that's where Brown drew the line. While Colbert later clarified he only meant to point out Roethlisberger's experience as a two-time Super Bowl champion — something nobody else on the current roster can claim — the damage was done.

Brown made that abundantly clear when speaking recently to ESPN.

"Of course he tried to clarify because, you know, he stated the truth and he's going to backpedal on his words," Brown told ESPN's Jeff Darlington. "But what ideally grown man is calling another grown man a kid? Fifty-two kids. Like, you don't have [respect] for these guys? Like, these are the guys that go to work for you. And that's what I'm telling you guys — that's my issue... It's all about respect."

While some fans cling to the notion that Brown could potentially return to the Steelers if they don't find the trade they're looking for, Brown himself doesn't sound too keen on the idea.

To him, the situation is simply busted.

"... Things [are] not getting better. They're not changing," Brown said. "You know what I mean? He just stated it: There [are] 52 kids and it's this guy [Roethlisberger]. Bro, it's one team. ... So that's what it is, man — just understanding truths."
