Forget the drama and the breakup. Forget "Mr. Big Chest" and that mustache. Please, oh please, forget anything you've ever seen on his Instagram.
I want to remember Antonio Brown for a minute. The football player Antonio Brown. The All-World, All-Generation wide receiver Antonio Brown.
The wound is still fresh from yesterday's trade which sent Brown to the Raiders for a third- and a fifth-round draft pick, but with nothing but negativity swirling, I wanted to inject some positivity into the conversation.
After speaking with my colleague Christopher Carter and doing a little brainstorming, I think we have a solid list for you.
Pour a drink and take a trip down Memory Lane with me as we remember the best moments from Brown's Steelers career.
10. Steelers vs. Bears
Sept. 23, 2013, Heinz Field
The Steelers lost this one, 40-23, but Brown provided a blindingly bright spot in the aftermath.
In what would become his breakout year — his first time posting over 100 receptions, over 1,400 yards and more than five touchdowns — Brown put on a show.
First, there was this:
Then, Brown did this:
Not. Too. Shabby.
Despite the loss, there was no denying it after this one: Brown is an elite NFL wide receiver.
9. Steelers vs. Chiefs
Oct. 15, 2017, Arrowhead Stadium
Sorry about that undefeated season, Kansas City.
Ben Roethlisberger and Brown put a quick end to the Chiefs' hot start in October of 2017. On a play that looked to be a sure interception, Brown did what he does best: He found the ball, he caught the ball and he took it to the house.
8. Steelers vs. Giants
Dec. 4, 2016, Heinz Field
"Uncoverable" is the word that comes to mind here. Just watch it:
Even Odell Beckham, Jr. had to laugh. There's just no stopping that.
Fresh off a Lawrence Timmons interception, Roethlisberger and Brown connected on a play we were treated to dozens of times over the past decade. Roethlisberger moves, he rolls and he improvises to Brown for six.
7. Steelers vs. Browns
Sept. 27, 2014, Heinz Field
He doesn't even score here, but this is peak Antonio Brown. It's a frustrating, bone-headed decision. He probably could've scored had he made one more cut.
But nope.
Front kick to the face.
In what has become a stunning bit of foreshadowing, Brown threw a middle finger to logic and reason and did what he wanted to do — only in this case, it was awesome.
6. Icing rivals double-feature
Need a play in a big moment? Brown has you covered.
Steelers vs. Browns
Nov. 15, 2015, Heinz Field
The game wasn't close. But it didn't matter. Give Brown a quick slant, and he'll style on you.
Steelers vs. Bengals
Oct. 14, 2018, Paul Brown Stadium
Now, the Steelers did need this one. Badly.
Down by one with under a minute to go, they called for No. 84 to make a play — and that's exactly what he did.
5. Steelers vs. Packers
Nov. 27, 2017, Heinz Field
In a text, Carter said this one "might be his best footwork ever."
I have to agree. This is just... stunning. And, yes, it led to the game-winning field goal:
4. Steelers vs. Colts
Dec. 6, 2015, Heinz Field
Nevermind the fact that Brown had eight receptions for 118 yards and two touchdowns in this 45-10 Sunday Night blowout.
This is what we're all here for:
Admit it: You're smiling a little.
3. Steelers vs. Titans
Nov. 16, 2017, Heinz Field
Cris Collinsworth couldn't believe it on the Thursday Night Football broadcast.
Neither can I.
Behold: The helmet catch:
On that same drive, Brown also did this, and you probably forgot all about it:
And you forgot about it because that's just the routine kinda thing Brown would do. To him, that wasn't exceptional. That was the standard.
2. Steelers vs. Ravens, part one
Jan. 15, 2011, Heinz Field
Ahh, the postseason play that put every Steelers fan on the planet on notice. This rookie can play, huh?
Not only was the catch itself incredible, but it was also as clutch as it gets, coming late in the fourth against a division rival in the playoffs. In that game, Brown posted three catches for 75 yards — but none compared to this one.
1. Steelers vs. Ravens, part two
Dec. 25, 2016, Heinz Field
You knew it was number one. It just had to be.
It's clutch. It's gritty. It's against the Ravens. It singlehandedly propelled the Steelers into the postseason.
What more needs to be said?
Enjoy the greatest play of Brown's Steelers career a few more times:
And a few more angles, just because:
