The injuries keep stacking for the Pirates. Today, the team placed Keone Kela on the 10-day injured list (retroactive to May 6) with "right shoulder inflammation." Kela was injured and removed from the game during the Pirates' 6-4 win Saturday against the Athletics.

He'll join Jameson Taillon (strained elbow tendon), Chris Archer (thumb) and Nick Burdi (nerve injury) on the IL.

The team also announced JB Shuck cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Indianapolis. The team has not yet named Kela's replacement on the 25-man roster but noted they will make the move prior to tomorrow's contest in St. Louis.

One name to watch for on that front is Montana DuRapau, who Matt Welch recently spoke to in his latest edition of "Indy Watch."
