Le'Veon Bell had over $500,000 worth of jewelry in his Florida home — the key word here: had.
According to multiple reports, Bell's girlfriends (yes, plural) robbed him of $520,000 of jewelry, including "two gold chains with diamonds, a black panther pendant with black and white diamonds and a Rolex."
Here is the black panther pendant in question:
Per Hollywood, Fla., police, Bell left the gym on May 25, came home and found his jewelry missing with the women nowhere in sight. In addition to the missing jewelry, Bell's closet was reportedly in "disarray."
Bell signed a four-year deal worth $52.5 million with the Jets in March after turning down a five-year, $70 million offer from the Steelers the previous offseason. That resulted in Bell being franchise tagged for a second consecutive season, and Bell elected to sit out the entire 2018 campaign as a result.
He continued that trend of voluntarily missing team activities with the Jets, sitting out the first two weeks of voluntary OTAs before officially joining the team for Week 3.
According to ESPN's Rich Cimini, Bell looked "rusty" in that practice, which is not entirely unexpected, given the circumstances.
Le'Veon Bell's first practice in the books: Only seven reps — four in 11-on-11, three in 7-on-7. He had three carries. Targeted once (ball off his hands). He looked rusty and tentative, just what you'd expect from someone who hadn't practiced in 17 months.
