The Penguins traded Olli Maatta to the Blackhawks for Dominik Kahun and a fifth-round pick on Saturday night.

Maatta was a member of the organization for seven years and played 362 regular season games over six seasons with the Penguins. He leaves Pittsburgh ranked fifth all-time in postseason games played among Penguins defensemen, with 69.

Here's a look back at his time in the organization.

JUNE 22, 2012: DRAFTED 22nd OVERALL

The Penguins selected Maatta with the 22nd overall pick in the 2012 entry draft, their second pick of the first round.

"The feeling is unbelievable. I got my name called from the Penguins, in front of the home crowd?" Maatta said, shaking his head.

"If it was that loud in the draft, I can't believe what it's like in the game," he said. "It's going to be sick."

OCTOBER 19, 2013: FIRST CAREER GOAL

Maatta scored his first career goal in his eighth career game. His goal was the tying goal in the third-period, sending the game to overtime:

The Penguins later won 4-3 in a shootout.

DECEMBER 19, 2013: PENALTY SHOT GOAL

Maatta made history when he scored a beautiful penalty shot goal on Niklas Backstrom in a game against the Wild:

He became the first rookie defenseman to score on a penalty shot since Bob Goldham did it in 1942.

NOVEMBER 18, 2014: RETURN FROM CANCER

Maatta returned to the Penguins' lineup for a game against the Canadiens just two weeks after undergoing surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his thyroid.

“For me, I can’t really compare what other people are going through (with cancer),” Maatta later reflected. “It was really easy for me and we got it early, so that was good. I can relate to how scary it is to hear about it. It’s not easy because your close family and friends are definitely worried about it too.”

MAY 19, 2017: FIRST PLAYOFF GOAL

Maatta scored his first career playoff goal in Game 4 of the 2017 Eastern Conference Final against the Senators, with the Penguins trailing 2-1 in the series.

"It feels awesome," Maatta told reporters after the game. "I saw a lot of net in there, so I think I would have been pretty pissed if I missed it."

JUNE 14, 2017: STANLEY CUP PARADE

Maatta partied pretty hard with Justin Schultz during the 2017 Stanley Cup parade:

All of that beer, combined with the mid-June heat in a hockey sweater, can wear a man out. A fan snapped this picture of Maatta taking a nap afterward, recovering from the long day:

Maatta spoke about the parade at the team's locker room cleanout day the following morning, sounding more tired than ever:

"I had a phenomenal time," he said. "It's unbelievable to see the fans we have in Pittsburgh."
