It actually has been relatively busy, at least for this time of year, since we got together a week ago: Matt Cullen has returned to the Penguins in a player-development role. Chris Kunitz, who earned three Stanley Cup rings here, retired after a 15-year playing career and took a player-development job job with Chicago. Meanwhile, negotiations on a contract for restricted free agent defenseman Marcus Pettersson were put on hold until the Penguins clear some salary-cap space. That's not a crisis just yet, but makes it clear that Jim Rutherford will be looking to move at least one player in the reasonably near future. Let's talk about that, and anything else related to the Penguins that you care to explore.
