Ben Roethlisberger is selling his Hampton, Pa., home.
But don't panic, Steelers fans. Roethlisberger has already expressed every intention to play out his current contract, which runs through the 2021 season, and this doesn't change that. Roethlisberger is simply upgrading. He purchased this listing in 2006, which comes with a $2.295 million asking price, but has since married and had three kids.
As we all know, you simply can't raise a family in a five-acre, eight-bedroom, seven-plus-bathroom home with a basketball court, pool, home theater and slide.
So, Roethlisberger is moving on and moving up. But if you want to own his former home, you can. It's not too shabby (all photos via Realtor.com):
And, no, I wasn't kidding about that slide. That's a real thing Roethlisberger had installed. It's unclear whether it's for him or for the kids, though:
Roethlisberger even had a home theater room — and it looked just a little more accommodating than Phil Kessel's:
But maybe you're not a football fan and you prefer the hardwood. Or, in this case, the blacktop. Roethlisberger's now-former home has you covered:
Prefer golf? Hey, Roethlisberger has that all set up and waiting on you too:
All in all, it's not a bad place, but Roethlisberger has no use for it after his family reportedly moved "elsewhere in the area."
