NBC Sports has reportedly removed Pierre McGuire from its main coverage team and replaced him with former goaltender Brian Boucher.
The move was first reported by Rangers beat writer Rick Carpiniello:
Per impeccable source, Pierre McGuire has been removed from NBC Sports' No. 1 hockey team, to be replaced by Brian Boucher.

NBC hasn't fired McGuire, to be clear. He just won't be on the primary broadcast team, and will still be between the benches for some games on NBC Sports this season:
Regarding the previous tweet, Pierre McGuire is still going to be doing games for NBC. But Brian Boucher will be on the No. 1 team with Doc Emrick and Eddie Olczyk

Boucher first worked as an analyst for NBC Sports during the 2015 Stanley Cup playoffs, and he has been an analyst between the benches and a studio analyst for NBC Sports for two seasons. He was part of NBC's coverage team for the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics.
