Ticket sales website SeatGeek.com ranked all NFL stadiums based on atmosphere, food, and bathrooms, and the Steelers' Heinz Field ranked in the top third in the league in all three categories.
The rankings are a result of a survey of over 3,200 NFL fans ranking stadiums they’ve visited on a scale of one to five.
Heinz Field's atmosphere received an average rating of 4.5, ranking it ninth in the league and the best in the AFC North. The stadium guide names the team's history on display throughout the building, Terrible Towels, and "Renegade" as the major contributions to the atmosphere.
"The NFL fan experience at Heinz Field can’t be replicated," said SeatGeek.com's guide. "You have all the Super Bowl trophies, lockers, commentators, music, and the people make your trip extraordinary."
The No. 1 atmosphere in the league according to the ranking is the Packers' Lambeau Field, receiving a rating of 4.9. The worst overall (by a margin of a half a point) is the Redskins' FedEx Field, receiving a rating of 3.0. The stadium guide names the Redskins' marching band as one of the atmosphere's high points.
The food at Heinz Field received a rating of 3.9, ranking it sixth in the league and best in the AFC North.
The best food in the league can be found at the Falcons' Mercedes-Benz Stadium, rated a 4.5. The guide points to the Falcons' extremely fan-friendly concession prices, like $1.50 hot dogs. The worst stadium in this category was again the Redskins' FedEx Field (despite its having Boardwalk Fries), rated just a 2.9.
Heinz Field's bathrooms were rated a 3.9, ranking 11th in the league and again the best in the AFC North.
The Falcons' Mercedes-Benz Stadium topped the bathroom list, earning a 4.5 rating. The Raiders' Oakland Coliseum earned the distinction of having the worst bathrooms in the league, receiving a 2.8 rating. The Coliseum also earned worst bathrooms honors when SeatGeek.com ranked all MLB stadiums in June.
