THE SETUP

It's Penguins and Islanders again, which precedent suggests will go to overtime as the first two meetings have in getting split. Tuesday night back home, Brock Nelson capped a wild New York rally with the tying and winning goals to prevail, 5-4.

What these guys have done in not losing in regulation since Oct. 11 is nuts ...

... but again, it was the Penguins who beat them, right here on this rink two weeks ago today, 3-2, on Bryan Rust's overtime goal.

As far as morning skates: The Penguins won't have one, which is becoming the new norm, and the Islanders will be out at their practice facility in East Meadow, N.Y. So I'm anticipating my on-location coverage here will begin with Mike Sullivan's availability at 5 p.m.

Oh, also, I'm up for a subscriber meetup in the first intermission if anyone else is. It's my first time in this building, but I'm sure we can work out a convenient spot. Just let me know, OK?
