The Penguins have re-assigned forward Joseph Blandisi to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, GM Jim Rutherford announced on Saturday.
Blandisi was recalled on Nov. 16 after Nick Bjugstad was injured, and played that night against the Maple Leafs and on Nov. 19 against the Islanders. He recorded two shots, two hits, one blocked shot, and no points in those games. He was scratched the last two games after Patric Hornqvist returned.
Blandisi has now had two recalls to Pittsburgh this season, and has a combined one goal and one assist in nine games. His goal was the game-winner on Oct. 12 against the Minnesota Wild.
Wilkes-Barre's next game is Saturday night at home against the Charlotte Checkers. If Blandisi is able to play, he'll be joining a team on a six-game win streak.
