Prospect Watch: Legare's back-to-back hat tricks taken at PPG Paints Arena (Penguins)

Nathan Legare. -- QMJHL

Penguins prospect Nathan Legare had a massive week for the QMJHL's Baie-Comeau Drakkar in two games against the Val-d'Or Foreurs.

Legare recorded a hat trick and an assist in a 7-3 Drakkar win on Feb. 22, and upped his game with a hat trick and two assists in a 6-3 win on Feb. 23. He became the fifth player in Drakkar history to score hat tricks in back-to-back games.

He's wearing No. 29 in these clips:

His skating seems to be just fine, by the way.

"Nathan took matters into his own hands, but he was not the only one to do so," said Drakkar head coach Jon Goyens. "The other leaders of the club also played a big role and it all started in the locker room."

Legare was named to both the QMJHL and CHL teams of the week, and was named the QMJHL player of the week for his performances.

Legare's week brought his season totals to 33 goals and 33 assists in 54 games.

Here’s how the Penguins’ prospects in juniors, college, and Europe did this week:
